Joining and playing.
Which Minecraft do I need?
Minecraft: Java Edition, version 26.3, on a computer. Bedrock Edition can't join.
Do my friends need an account here?
No. Only the person who creates the server does. Friends join from Minecraft with the server's address.
How many people can play at once?
Up to 10.
Can we use mods?
No. Servers run Paper with our plugin, and vanilla clients join.
Running a server.
How fast is a server ready?
A few minutes. The address appears on its page as soon as it is.
Why did my server stop on its own?
After an hour with nobody online, servers stop. Start it again from the dashboard; the world is untouched.
Where are the servers?
In the United States.
Can I upload my existing world?
Not yet. Every server starts with a new world.
Challenges and the editor.
What is a challenge?
A set of rules and a goal the server runs for everyone online: shared health, a random item for the team when someone finds diamonds, chop 100 logs in 15 minutes. The server declares a win or a loss.
Can I make my own?
Yes, with the editor, and publish it to the library when you like.
Can I remix someone else's challenge?
Any library entry opens on your canvas as a new draft. The remix shows where it came from.
Can I run challenges on a server I host elsewhere?
Yes. The plugin runs on any Paper 26.3 server; see challenge servers.
Plans and payment.
What do the plans cost?
Starter $9 a month for 1 server, Friends $19 a month for 3 servers, Party $39 a month for 6 servers.
How do I cancel?
From the billing page, any time. See refunds and cancellation.
What are creator credits?
Credit off your bill when other groups play a challenge you published. See for creators.
Your account and your data.
Why do I have to verify my email?
Creating a server and buying a plan need a verified address, so receipts and notices reach you.
I forgot my password.
Use "Forgot your password?" on the sign-in page.
How do I delete my account?
Write to support@octocarbon.com from the account's address. The privacy policy says what we keep.
