Modpacks.
A modpack is a whole set of mods that work together. Start a server from one, or put one on a server you already have.
Pick the pack.
On the new server page, choose From a modpack, then search or take one of the popular ones. Got an .mrpack file? Upload it there.
See what it runs.
The pack sets the software and the Minecraft version. The page says which, how many mods it has, and how much memory it needs.
Create the server.
The first start fetches every mod before it boots, which can take a few minutes on a big pack.
Tell your friends.
They install the same pack in their launcher, at the same version, and join with the address.
Good to know.
- Mods that only work on a player's computer stay off the server, and the page names them.
- Already have a Fabric, Forge, or NeoForge server? On its Mods tab, pick Modpacks. The pack's mods and configs replace what's there, after a backup.
- When a newer version is out, the Mods tab says so. Updating takes a backup, swaps the pack's files, and keeps what you added.
- Packs come from Modrinth. CurseForge packs can't be used here, so look for the same pack on Modrinth, or upload its .mrpack.
